epa03744171 The new Airbus A350 XWB aircraft prepares to take off for its first test flight from the airport of Blagnac, Southern France, 14 June 2013. The test comes three days before the start of the biennial Paris Air Show, where Airbus and Boeing traditionally do battle for aircraft orders. The A350 uses light carbon-composite materials instead of aluminium, allowing airlines to make savings on fuel.
